It was hard not to spot the dominance of a beige colour on the spring runways this season. As it comes in so many luxurious shades, we no longer refer to it as dull and understated colour. From pale sand to many variations of camel, nearly all designers covered beige hues in some shape of form. Max Mara’s SS19 collection, which is entirely built on monochromatic neutral looks, impressed me the most!
We’ve seen it before and may think, so what’s the big deal… Beige indeed is timeless colour, but now it is meant to create the feel of elevated elegance. And the key this season is to wear it head to toe!
I built my outfit around super affordable beige oversized jacket. It is a little thicker than summery ones. But woks well for that extra warmth we still need during breezy spring mornings. Lighter version here.
Next I paired it with again super affordable pair of sequinned trousers. And although they are skinny fit, the jacket is so oversized that it creates perfect balance for the outfit. I opted for Valentino Rockstud pumps and vintage Burberry clutch. Similar shoes here and here.
