We have this new-ish trend slowly come crawling into our fabulous wardrobes. Fanny Packs! (I hate this name, so will continue calling it by its real name belt bag). Personally, I love it and if you are reading this just to get an approval. Go for it! You are also welcome to skip the rest. However, further I will explain why belt bag works just perfect when you choose the right one. For almost any occasion.

I love new trends and sometimes unintentionally trying to set up one too. As I am not surrounded by the complete fashionistas (as we all aren’t), I get bunch of opinions. From my lifetime experience, ladies are always more open for the new trends, men – not so much.

I paired my belt bag from The Kooples (last season) with the floral Mango dress and black suit jacket. Similar bag here and very affordable version here. And I can’t find the reason why this bag couldn’t be worn over the pant suit or pleated skirt, shorts or literally anything.

I wore it three ways to tick my busy day needs (we Londoner’s are busy people over here): Morning commute – belt bag over the dress with a jacket over the shoulders; Lunch in the park – belt bag over the dress without a jacket; Dinner in the city – belt bag over the jacket with a dress underneath.

I have chosen this bag, because I find it to be a sophisticated version of the one which can be paired with both classic and sporty looks. It has a shape of a regular mini bag and it doesn’t make you look or feel like a tourist in your own city. Opposite – it makes the whole outfit interesting and adds some edge to it. Another huge benefit, it defines the waste! I am all four for oversized men suits we ladies are wearing these days. But if you are having one of those days when you are desperate to look more feminine and yet something is missing… Belt bag is your answer. Wear it don’t fear it!
