If you’re anything like me, all you want to wear this time of the year is dresses, dresses and more dresses. But as the summer is paddling away slowly, our shopping list is naturally adjusting too. Transitional essentials become the main topic in glossy magazines and we are looking for a new chapter in our wardrobes. I noticed that around August time, I start cheating on florals with more neutral or block colours and checked prints. But since it is still summertime officially, and temperatures do not seem to give up – a pair of trousers is not an option. That’s when those simple, light, yet transitional dresses comes into the picture.
The simple dresses that I have in mind are light, neutral tone, uncomplicated silhouette, easy to wear on their own and under transitional jackets (read more about safari inspired jackets here). These versatile dresses will go just as well with tights and chunky boots as sandals. And my moto is – if the dress can be worn underneath the blazer or a trench coat – it’s a buy!

The Colour and cut makes this dress easy to wear for literally any occasion. It’s perfect with a pair of sneakers and can easily be dressed up with a pair of heels. Hello, high-low dressing!
